Drakloak has appeared in several sets: Twilight Masquerade (TWM 129), Prismatic Evolutions (PRE 72) and Ascended Heroes (ASC 159). It is the same card every time — it plays the same, only the artwork and the price change. Here is what it does once it is on the table.

WHAT IT HAS GOING FOR IT
- Retreat cost 1. One Energy to discard and it is back on the Bench, which matters a lot on the turn you need to swap attackers.
- It has an Ability, Recon Directive. An Ability costs you no attack, so you can use it and still swing the same turn.
- Ethan's Typhlosion runs it in 25 of the 26 lists we have read, seen across 24 different tournaments.
- No Weakness printed on the card. Nothing doubles up the damage it takes.
WHAT TO WATCH OUT FOR
- Mark H, and that is the letter the next rotation takes away. After that you will not be able to play it in Standard.
