This is where you decide how I work on your games. These are choices you make once and I remember: they apply to every game you hand me, not just the one you happen to be looking at. Take your time reading them — there's a real difference behind each switch.

WHEN I REPLAY YOUR TURNSApplies to every game

Play with the Japanese cards that aren't out here yet

These are the 73 cards from the M6 set. They're already on sale in Japan, but they haven't been released here yet. I had their text machine-translated: out of the 85 rules sentences printed on those cards, I understand 40 so far — roughly 47 out of 100.

If you say yes: I'll know how to spot these cards in your battle log, I'll play them out when I replay your turns, and I'll count them when I look at your decisions. It's a way of trying them before anyone else.

What it doesn't change is the numbers. HP, Energy cost, damage, Weakness, Retreat cost: I read all of that straight off the official Japanese card page, and it's exact whether you say yes or no. The fragile part is the wording only — the sentences a machine translated.

And if one of these cards ever turns up in one of your games, I'll say so on the report, in plain sight. You'll always know when I'm leaning on a translation instead of the real text.

You can change your mind whenever you like, nothing breaks. The day the set comes out here, I swap my translations for the official text on my own.

Where these choices are kept

In this browser's memory, on this device, and nowhere else. Your battle logs don't travel either: I read them, replay your turns and answer you right here, in this tab. None of it goes out onto the internet.

The day you have an account

For now your choices stay on this device. When accounts arrive, your account will pick them up exactly as they are and carry them everywhere — your phone, the computer at home. And if two devices ever disagree, I keep the most recent choice, the one you made last. I will never quietly erase a decision you have just made.
