Togekiss has appeared in several sets: Surging Sparks (SSP 72) and Ascended Heroes (ASC 82). It is the same card every time — it plays the same, only the artwork and the price change. Here is what it does once it is on the table.

WHAT IT HAS GOING FOR IT
- Retreat cost 1. One Energy to discard and it is back on the Bench, which matters a lot on the turn you need to swap attackers.
- It has an Ability, Wonder Kiss. An Ability costs you no attack, so you can use it and still swing the same turn.
- Mega Lucario ex runs it in 5 of the 26 lists we have read, seen across 5 different tournaments.
WHAT TO WATCH OUT FOR
- It is a Stage 2. You have to come through Togetic to get here, or find a Rare Candy to skip the middle step.
- Weakness Metal ×2. Against a Metal Pokémon, apply that to the damage it takes — it climbs fast. Of the 1,386 tournament lists we have read, 200 run at least one Pokémon of that type.
- Mark H, and that is the letter the next rotation takes away. After that you will not be able to play it in Standard.
