- Retreat cost 1. One Energy to discard and it is back on the Bench, which matters a lot on the turn you need to swap attackers.
- Illusory Impulse hits for 300 on 3 Energy. Nothing in Mega Evolution hits harder for that price.
- It is a Basic Pokémon. You can put it down on your very first turn, with nothing to evolve through.
- No Weakness printed on the card. Nothing doubles up the damage it takes.
- Mark I. The next rotation takes mark H away, so this one stays tournament legal.
